Dr. Hamula has designed offices across the United States and internationally. Transitional offices are larger spaces typically designed to accommodate more than one orthodontist (i.e. transitioning a practice to a new orthodontist).
Dr. Hamula has published several articles pertaining to Transitional Office Design. He recently was a featured speaker at the national meeting of the American Association of Orthodontics on the subject, Attracting an Associate or Buyer for a Future Sale. He conducted a practice selection survey of approximately 200 student orthodontics detailing what was important to them in a practice selection (JCO, April 2003). Their desires should be helpful to those who are considering designing a transition office.
